Abstract
Abstract:
The present research suggests that in order to make the implementation of new technologies effective, the leader needs to prepare the employees for change thus direct the organization for success.
With help of two separate questionnaires, data was collected from 342 employees of automobile sector. With Smart PLS 3, the relation between leader member exchange (LMX) and readiness to change was computed. Reliabilities of both the questionnaires are more than 0.85. Positive correlation (0.532) was found between the two variables. PLS_SEM 3 confirmed the relationship between leader member exchange (LMX) and readiness to change (t = 12.93 and R square=0.283). The study concludes that subordinates who receive support and benefits from their leaders are ready to accept change. Conclusions from this research can further be hypothesized for future researches.
This present researchendures from the usual restraints of survey research method. Including more variables mightraise the explained variance in change readiness. This research might be helpful to organizations in smooth change implementation while recognizing the significance of leader subordinate relation for the same.
