Human Resource managers are mainly involved in getting the maximum output from available human resource. They are trying to make the organization successful through proper selection, retention and fairly lay off of the human resource. Human resource ethics play a vital role in motivating and retaining man power in the organization for long run. Bhagvad Geeta is a source of ethical standards for all time to come. Shri Krishna mentioned many ethical practices in Geeta that can be implementing in organization to achieve the desired results. He mentioned the ethical practices like Leading toward righteousness, Freedom of work, Job satisfaction through liberty of selection, Freedom from duality & Envy and Equality & Justice and so. These practices if applied properly through human resource department then will surely bring the effectiveness for the organization and better output in long run. This paper mainly consisting of introduction about ethics in HRM, types of ethical standards, characteristics of HR ethics, use of ethics at workplace and teachings of Bhagvad Geeta on HR ethics. Paper concludes with some suggestion to the Future HR managers.
